Ted Goes to the Beach

Ted went to the ocean at Christmas time but I don't count that because he never got out of his stroller. So here is his official first time at the beach. The pictures are out of order.

At first Ted loved it.

As you can see Ted tasted quite a bit of sand.

Then Ted hated it. Hahaha I love this picture so much. We took him to the water and at this point he is cold, tired, and hungry.

We changed Ted back into his warm dry clothes and everything was all better.

Grandma and Grampa Mann

The reason we vacation where we do is because my grandma lives by the beach. I didn't get any pictures of her this time around. :( but here is Ted riding Max the horse at her house.

Later we went for a walk. Wagons are very hard to nap in.

Oh my goodness there were so many birds at the beach the second day.

Tyler and the dogs ventured out. Ruby went crazy trying to get them. I'm pretty sure the pelicans could have fit her in their mouth.

Because of the crazy birds we went for a walk. It was pretty hot to the royal pug got to ride in the wagon. We tried to let Max in the wagon too but he preferred to walk. Ruby on the other hand looked like she was meant to always be rolled around in her regal caravan.

Road Trip

We took a weekend trip to the coast. On our way there we saw a car pulling racing pigeons. It made me think of President Monson. :-)

Ted Grows Teeth

The title is a little deceptive. Ted already had 8 teeth but last week he got four more all in one day! He had a monster fever that lasted two days and he  was all about the snuggles. It was during this time I realized how attached Ted is to his lamb and bear. They have been in his crib since December and he loves them so much.

The Long Weekend and the answer to the question of whether we have any plans this summer

What a long weekend it has been! And it is not over. It seems every time summer roles around the inevitable question pops up of whether our family has any plan for the summer. Since we are not jet setting world travelers I usually just say, nope.  As I thought about this question over the past weekend I realized we have TONS of things going on this summer. Nothing we do will be huge, but we have lots of fun little activities.

Therefore, the next time someone asks me if we have any plans this summer I will answer oh yes indeed we do. In fact, every weekend from here to August is booked up. :)

Here is the result of a Friday well spent. We went to breakfast with family, did some shopping to pick up supplies for the baby shower I was throwing and the youth dance Tyler had to provide refreshments for, went garage sale-ing and ended with a family dinner.

Saturday was even more full. My mom drove out and we all road our bikes to watch the parade. Like all good babies, Ted LOVED his balloon. He was also a pro at picking up the candy that was thrown out by the people in the parade. Three people thought he was a girl.... I blame the blond curls and big blue eyes.

After the parade we made yet another trip to Costco. I love living so close to the megastore but on the flip side I also feel like I live there. I needed some more food for my party and Tyler needed to buy the frozen items for the dance.

Elspeth made the baby shower decorations and she did a fantastic job!!! She stayed with the teal/lime green/monkey/polka dot theme very nicely.  I really with she would make an Etsy shop or something because she is so great at it. I think she needs some encouragement or a cheer leader to give her the confidence to give it a try.

To avoid anymore mistakes of Ted's gender we had him wear his camo hat the rest of the day ;)

Here is Ted in the bunny barn meeting Teddy the prize guinea pig. I really want a bunny now. We got to pet a mini rex rabbit and it was sooooo soft! My first thought was I NEED A BUNNY, Tyler's first thought was, Imagine a blanket made out of that fur!

Thanks a lot Cruella DeVil.
Ted and Tyler at the fair.
We gave Ted a chance to stretch his legs in the field by the band stand and he could not resist the chance to get his groove on.

When Elspeth came over with the decorations she also brought some garage sale toys for Ted. One thing was a child size camping chair. After we got home from the fair I looked over and saw Ted enjoying his chair.

On the way home from the fair, Tyler stopped and bought a Happy Meal. The toy was a MarioKart visor.

"Ima Mario"
Tyler and I also bought Ted garage sale toys over the weekend.... I justify these toys because I run a daycare...

Summer Heat

It is so hot here! And it is only going to get hotter apparently. Blah! We attempt to keep cool by having 6-8 fans on in the house at all times.

Ted knocked out all the mats and climbed into the lower part of this table, so I took a picture...
My mom bought Ted this cute castle tent from Ikea. He loves it. Inside you can see a stuffed alligator chair we picked up at a garage sale. Going to garage sales is a lot more fun when shopping for a kid.
We went to a birthday party for Ted's friend Bennett. It was super hero theme. Ted and Tyler are twins :)
I am FINALLY licensed to do daycare and here is the proof. :)
Ted out for a stroll in the summer heat.

Tyler and I are working out way through the entire series of 7th Heaven which is on Amazon Prime. Ted loves the theme song and dances to it every time.

Ted modeling his first pair of Nordstrom shoes purchased by grammy bear! They are no longer giving out Nordys :( But he did get a balloon.

Mr. Ted Goes to the Zoo

First off, Ted is now the proud owner of crocs :) They are hand-me-downs from his cousin and super cute. Babies are the only age that can make crocs look good.

And Ted took his first trip to the zoo. He had a play date with his friend.

Independence Day

A couple weeks ago Ted and I went garage sale-ing with Elspeth. I got a lot of great stuff and only spent $4 total :) One of the things I picked up was a bag of new bath toys for Ted. There were foam letters that can stick to the side of the tub when wet. I had some fun.

Happy Independence Day! Soooo tired. We had a really long day. I bought a bike trailer for Ted off Craigslist and we tested it out with two long bike rides. We also went to the Enumclaw parade per tradition and ended the day with dinner at Tyler's brother's house.  We walked over to their house so we walked home before the super crazy fireworks began. This was my second year not watching any fireworks... I don't really miss them... at all... Well, I certainly can't miss them when it sounds like World War III outside my house. We have CRAZY neighbors.

Here is Ted and Tyler after a long day of celebrating our independence.
