Lesson 205: Ted playing the piano

Lesson 204: A rainy weekend

 Arrr matey, it's pirate Ted.

Saturday we had dirt delivered to our house for our front yard project of leveling out the grass. Tyler built a wall that you can see in the lower picture. Much to Ruby's disdain, a squirrel perched on the wall.

Since the dogs are no longer sleeping on our bed, Max has claimed one of the spare bedrooms as his own.
Me and Ted. Ted just woke up so he is still pretty out of it in this picture.

Lesson 203: The Fat and Skinny of It

Here is my theory....

Marriage makes you fat
Pregnancy makes you fatter
Breastfeeding makes you skinny :)

This morning I was able to fit into a pair of jeans that have not seen the light in probably 2 years. Oh yeah :) Of course I take NO responsibility for my ability to fit into them. It is all Ted.

Unfortunately the past couple nights Ted has reverted to his newborn habit of waking up every 3 hours to eat. Ugh... He has been sleeping through the night for a couple months. In the beginning I was able to handle waking up over and over because I was not working and I could sleep during the day. Now I am at work. If anyone hears a loud bang it is the sound of my passed out head hitting the desk.

Lesson 202: Ted takes up 98% of the picture memory space on my phone

We went to Costco this weekend so OF COURSE we had to look to see if there were any new Carters clothes. They had a soccer set and since Tyler likes soccer and the onesie that comes with it says "kickin' it with daddy" I bought it.
Soccer bum. Notice the matching socks. I feel like I put more effort into making sure Ted coordinates than I do myself.
My mom bought Ted a new toy. This is a terrible photo but you can get the point. It is a lady bug that does everything under the sun (except make any obnoxious electronic noises). It crinkles, rattles, squeaks, it has a teething thing, a ring with little rings on it, it has a mirror, and more. Ted loves it and as you can see, so do the DOGS! Max is sniffing it but he knows better than to take the toy or he would be in deep doggie doo doo.

Furry zebra cloth diaper. Rarrrrrr! (or whatever noise a zebra makes I suppose)
Ted hates tummy time
Me and Ted :) Look at Ted sticking his tongue out at his reflection.

Lesson 202: It's so fluffy!!!

My latest fluffy mail arrived. (I told Tyler cloth diapers are called "fluff" and he laughed). I now have sufficient supply to cloth diaper full time oh yeah :).

Lesson 200: 200 Lessons and a new blog title

I decided to change the blog title.

"The New Wife's Guide to Puppies and Husbands" seemed a little outdated.

Yesterday I was talking for my friend Jenae and I told her I was watching Youtube videos about babies laughing at dogs. She said it sounded like something I would watch, it is basically the title of my blog.

And so a new title was born. It seems fitting since Jenae came up with the original title.

Welcome to BABIES LAUGHING AT DOGS

It is all the same type of content as before....

Lesson 199: How to be a pack mule.... I mean working mom

Loading up to take Ted to his nanny (aka Grandma) is insanity. Here is a picture of what a typical day would be. This is not including the days I bring the dogs with me where I also would have to pack up their leashes and crate... and the dogs themselves.
And don't forget to bring the baby!

Lesson 198: Something is wrong here...

My "What I Did This Summer" Essay

I went to the Highland games without watching a single Highland game. I went to a huge dog show without watching a single dog show. I went to an ice cream festival without eating any ice cream....

Something is seriously wrong here...

Lesson 197: Fluffy Mail is Here!

My fluffy mail arrived! AKA cloth diapers I ordered online. As a mom, priorities change in really weird ways. I never thought I would be asking for diapers for my birthday. (hint hint to any family reading this) For the record, I am only excited about cloth diapers. Disposable diapers are the equivalent of buying toilet paper on my excitement meter :)

I have been building up my cloth diaper collection so that Ted can be in cloth full time. I was so excited to find this website that has low price diapers. Obviously I have not tried them out and it is such a new company I have not heard anything about them yet so I am really excited to try the diapers out.

Lesson 196: A baby boy needs a ball cap

My mom helped me take pictures of Ted in a ball cap with a mini watermelon. All that is missing is some overalls :) The hat belonged to my older sister from when she was a baby. I have yet to find a baby cap for Ted. Why would those not be for sale everywhere? They are adorable. Also my mom brought home some mini watermelons from her trip. I can't handle the last picture. He is just so dang happy. :) How did such a moody person like me get such a happy baby? He must take after Tyler.
