Lesson 168: Baby is breech

No this is not a drawing of a tush, it is a uterus with a baby in it of course. I copied what the ultrasound tech drew in my chart after my doctor appointment today. While trying to avoid TMI in this post, baby is in breech position and, because of the shape of my uterus, that means an almost certain C-section will be scheduled. Normally a baby has the entire space to flip around and get himself ready to get the heck out of there. Ted does not have this option.

Oh and as I left the office, the doctor took a look at my weight and ankle swelling and said, No Salt For You!

This is going to be a long 5 weeks.

This picture has nothing to do with anything, I just like pugs and looking at pugs makes me happy :)

  1. You're almost at the end! I didn't have a c-section, so take this for what it's worth, but there are some advantages to having a c-section.

  2. One plus is that I will actually have a specific date when I can let my boss know I will start my leave as opposed to just whenever I go into labor. So maybe it is a blessing in disguise...

  3. I've had 2 c-sections. There are definitely worse things in the world. But as far as having a specific date... I wasn't scheduled with Sidney, but was with Michaela and that little punk came Tuesday before her scheduled Friday. She wanted to make sure I knew who was in charge ;) good luck with everything!
    and that salt comment. horrible!

  4. This was also your ultrasound tech's subtle way of letting you know that Ted will be born without arms.
