Here is my bucket all ready to go in the morning. I laminated the games but I was only able to use 1 of the 3 games I made because Ted is just not old enough for them yet.
We started off by singing "5 Little Monkeys" with the printed out cards to go with it. The kids put each monkey in the envelope after it fell off the bed.
Then we did a Do-A-Dot activitiy with monkeys and a big M. I was not really teaching letters with the kids just some pre-writing skills.
Then for the first time ever we did Q-tip dots, The kids were actually a lot cleaner with this activity than I thought they would be. Ted was more interested in painting with the Q-tip than making dots.
And of course we taped up our finished artwork to the easel. You will notice the top picture has a mouse on it instead of a monkey... I don't think the kids noticed ;)
I've never seen the q-tip dot idea before. I want to try out dotters before investing in them, and that seems perfect.
ReplyDeleteThey love the q tips because they can also color/paint with them. We do also have the dotters which are pricey. I had an Amazon gift card, but all the kids love those too.
